How the guard rail is attached to bed

The post you see is the bottom of one of the guard rails

The ladder has the same attachment method at the bottom of the ladder

The top of the ladder has a U-Bolt with threads on both ends.
The U-Bolt straddles the side of the spring base, passing though
the two hole on the ladder. The Barral bolts then pass through the ladder holes.
